
Munir Hossn is a Brazilian multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer whose music defies borders. Raised in Bahia and now based in Miami, Florida, he blends Afro-Brazilian rhythms with jazz, funk, world music, and contemporary grooves, creating a sound that is both deeply rooted and refreshingly innovative.
Throughout his career, Munir has collaborated with renowned artists such as Quincy Jones, Hermeto Pascual, Joe Zawinul, Lee Ritenour, performing on major stages and festivals worldwide. Beyond his virtuosity on bass and guitar, Munir is celebrated for his rhythmic creativity, soulful vocals, and ability to connect cultures through music.
Munir also leads Munir Hossn & Elas, a project featuring an all-female band that highlights female musicianship and diversity on stage.
