Born on November 24, 1981 in Brazil, Munir Hossn is an award-winning producer, composer and multi-instrumentalist. His incredible mix of heritage reveals itself in his sound: he is African, Italian, Middle-Eastern, and Brazilian Indigenous, making his music undeniably original, and deeply authentic. Both in his personhood and his music, Munir Hossn reveals pathways to a deep togetherness of many peoples.
When listening to Munir Hossn’s compositions or arrangements, the listener is able to imagine how wide and great his journeys through different countries and cultures have been.
Hossn has been featured on Grammy award-nominated albums, and his Hossn’s collaborators include: Quincy Jones, Hermeto Pascoal, Gilberto Gil, Jacob Collier, Maro, Ibrahim Maalouf, Concha Buika, Nella, Joe Zawinul Syndicate, Didier Lockwood, Alfredo Rodriguez and many others.
