
Munir Hossn is a Brazilian multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer whose music moves fluidly across cultures and genres. Raised in Bahia and now based in Miami, he blends Afro-Brazilian rhythms with jazz, funk and contemporary grooves, creating a sound that is both deeply rooted and forward-looking.
Throughout his career, Munir has collaborated with artists such as Quincy Jones, Hermeto Pascoal, Joe Zawinul and Lee Ritenour, performing on major stages and festivals worldwide. Known for his rhythmic depth, versatility on bass and guitar, and strong stage presence, his music is driven by groove, improvisation and a deep sense of connection.
On May 15, 2026, Munir releases MysticSamba, a new album recorded entirely live with an international ensemble. The project explores samba as a living, evolving language — a music in motion that connects traditions, cultures and contemporary expression through collective energy and improvisation.
